As you decide and plan to leave everything behind and set off on that journey overseas, you want to be sure that you haven’t forgotten anything. We have made a check list to ensure that you won’t forget anything on you next trip.
1. Travel Vaccinations
Get all the relevant vaccinations, for the areas you will be traveling to.
Organise a visa prior to departure if necessary.
3. Credit Cards
Have a credit card as a back up if you are stuck with no funds.
4.Photocopied important documents/online as well
Have a copy of all documents with you, as well as scanned copies online, and also give copies to a loved one back at home.

6. Health check
Make sure that you are fit to travel.
7. Dental check
You want to make sure you teeth are in good condition.
8. Buy a plane ticket
Try to organise your plane ticket as early as possible to ensure you get the cheapest possible ticket.
9. Travel Insurance
You shouldn’t be traveling if you can’t afford travel insurance.
10. Pick a backpack
Selecting a backpack can be daunting, but choosing the right backpack is important.
Set up a Skype account to keep in touch with loved ones back at home.
12.Check packing list
Double check what you are taking away-making sure you have what you need.
Make sure your passport hasn’t expired, and you also need 6 months before expiry before your flight home.
14. Notify someone back at home of where you are traveling
Register on smarttraveler.com.au and also let someone back at home where you will be traveling on what dates. Just in case of an emergency.
15. Learn the language
Get a phrase book, or do some language CD’s before you go. iphone have some great app’s to learn some simple phrases.
16. Test your gear
Go on dumby trip to test your gear out.
17. Itinerary of everything in your backpack
Make a list of all your belongings you will be traveling with, for insurance purposes.
Make should you have ended all contracts for mobile phones etc, and you have organised direct debts for all existing bills whilst you are away.
Have someone collect your mail whilst you are gone.
Organise your first nights accommodation.
