Oh God it was delicious…too delicious to give up. We ate it nearly everyday straight for a week.

We were living in Tulum on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and this little place soon became one of our favourite places to eat.
The delicious char grilled chicken smell drew us in quickly off the street. The owner was friendly and seemed quite used to travellers taking photos of his tasty chicken.

He was always busy, often multi-tasking. He would be taking phone orders and swiftly chopping up the chicken all at one time.

He became so used to us there and what we ordered that when we didn’t turn up for a few days he asked us where we had gone and if everything was OK.
It was a simple meal that never failed to please. Seriously, what could be better than chicken, onions and potatoes for dinner (or lunch) each day?
