What is real? I have questioned this my entire life and sometimes you have experiences in your life that you question whether it is actually happening before your eyes. Elise and I had one of these very experiences when travelling to the Top End in the Northern Territory.
I have dreamt for many years of visiting the Northern Territory and once we had arrived in the mugged Northern heat we instantly asked one another if this was actually happening and we were once again ticking off one of our must-see things on our list. We were quietly very excited to be in the Top End.

Most people look at us strangely when we tell them we are overjoyed to see the rest of Australia, and they smugly ask “you have seen most of the world, why would you be excited about Australia?”. Although there are many parts of the world that are still undiscovered by us, we really want to spend the next 6 months rediscovering the country that we love. We believe there is so much on offer right on our doorstep and we can’t wait to see all of Australia.
I walked around Darwin’s main tourist area and as I breathed in the wet northern air into my lungs I pictured a moment my dream I had previously about NT and it slowly forging with reality. The next six days on our Top End tour were much of a blur, not knowing if it was real or a dream. Here is my interpretation of our Northern Territory tour. Enjoy…
