Eco-Friendly Travel Products That Ecotourists NEED In Their Life

Over the last 30 years, thankfully, much has changed when it comes to our environmental awareness, let me be clear here, we still have a very long way to go, but the wheels are in motion. Countries are implementing new laws, gas guzzling cars are on their way out, the Kyoto Protocol has put pressure on governments to clamp down on their emissions and the next generation are being raised to be environmentally conscious. Many people I meet on the road are more than aware of the footprint that they are leaving behind and even more are like me, trying to live the most eco-friendly lifestyle possible. When it comes to traveling there are some fantastic products on the market for people like me, who wish to travel a bit greener and here are some of my favorites.

ecofriendly

GoToob

Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles can all be recycled, sadly many countries don’t have such a system in place, for this reason I use these brilliant GoToobs for all my liquid soaps. Silicone bottles that are durable, easy to pack and perfect to decant all of my essentials into, I wouldn’t leave home without them.

RePEaT Cutlery Set

Plastic utensils are rarely BPA free and they are so bad for the environment, unfortunately they are also used on mass so I prefer to carry my own. This handy package of fork, spoon and knife, with optional chopsticks are made from bamboo which is super sustainable. Avoid plastic cutlery with this handy pack.

Hoptu Laptop Case

I try to be conscious of all of my travel supplies, right down to my laptop case. This Hoptu case is made from leftover wetsuit fabric, it is durable, lightweight, waterproof and more importantly very eco-friendly, they also make cases for tablets.

Revolution Apparel

This clothing line was set up by two women who wanted to make stylish women’s clothing without leaving a footprint behind and it’s where I try to buy most of my clothing. The clothing is from pesticide free, organic and fair-labored fabrics, the majority of their clothing is also very changeable, 2 items of clothing can have up to 20 different uses. If you’re looking for eco-friendly clothing then look no further than Revolution.

Rareform Bags

This super cool company create beautiful looking bags for travel made from up cycled materials. The bags they create can be made from things like old billboards, these bags not only look great and are super durable, but the company also donate 1% of their profits to environmental research.

Premium Solar Charger

There are quite a few of these on the market and as yet I haven’y found one that hasn’t worked perfectly. We travelers simply need our gadgets on the road and with gadgets come battery chargers, using a solar powered charger is the best answer for anyone looking to stay green. Solar chargers receive their power from the sun’s rays but they don’t necessarily need sunshine in order to charge. A solar charger is essential if you want to travel and help save the planet at the same time.
